About
Direct, compassionate care, built on accountability
Donna Saunders is Clinical Director at South Jersey Recovery Program (SJRP), where she oversees the multidisciplinary team delivering PHP, IOP, and outpatient care for substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) in the State of New Jersey, where she was born and raised and lived throughout her life. Donna has 20 years of experience in behavioral health, specializing in the treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Her experience includes working with individuals experiencing mental illness, addiction, trauma, and personality disorders. She is passionate about creating treatment environments where clients can thrive.
Donna believes meaningful recovery requires more than symptom stabilization — it requires helping clients build insight, resilience, and practical skills they can carry beyond treatment. Her clinical approach combines evidence-based interventions with direct, compassionate care, emphasizing accountability while meeting individuals where they are in their recovery.
Outpatient clients at South Jersey Recovery Program (SJRP) working with Donna can expect a clinician who is approachable, honest, and invested in helping them succeed, someone who creates an environment where individuals feel heard while also being challenged to take ownership of their recovery. Her goal is to help each client develop the insight, confidence, and coping skills necessary to build a healthier, more meaningful life.
