FAQ
Common questions about getting to treatment
Distance, transport and whether one office in Berlin can work for where you live.
No. Everything we do happens at 1044 NJ-73 in Berlin: partial care, intensive outpatient and outpatient programming, with one clinical team. The town pages exist because the trip to Berlin is different from each place, not because we have an office there.
Think in trips per week, not miles. Partial care is five round trips a week, Monday to Friday; IOP is a morning most weekdays; outpatient is one or two visits. Most of our clients drive 10 to 25 minutes from Camden, Gloucester and Burlington County towns. If the drive is what would make you miss days, say so at the assessment: sometimes the answer is a lower level of care, sometimes it is a program closer to you, and we will tell you which.
By train, yes. NJ Transit’s Atlantic City Line stops at Atco station, about two tenths of a mile across Route 73 from our office, one stop and about seven minutes from Lindenwold, where PATCO arrives from Camden and Philadelphia. Trains run roughly every hour and a half to two hours, so the timetable decides which program fits; our Lindenwold page lists the trains that work. By bus, NJ Transit’s 406 along Route 73 ends about two miles north of us at Berlin Circle Plaza, and the 554 runs the White Horse Pike from Lindenwold through Berlin. Confirm schedules with NJ Transit and PATCO before your first day.
Yes. The town pages exist because the trip from each place is different, not because we only serve those towns. Anyone who can get to 1044 NJ-73 in Berlin on the days their program requires can enroll, and clients come from across Camden, Gloucester and Burlington County and beyond. Call (856) 788-6914, tell us where you are coming from, and we will talk through the drive, the train and whether the schedule works.
Not for treatment. Programs are not assigned by county, and health plans build their networks provider by provider, so a Burlington or Gloucester County resident is treated at our Camden County office the same way. What does follow the county line is the public help around treatment: county addiction offices, recovery centers and court programs such as Camden County’s Project SAVE apply to residents of that county. If a court case is involved, confirm with your attorney or probation officer that a Camden County program satisfies the order.
