Paying without insurance, and Good Faith Estimates
If you are uninsured, or you would rather not use your insurance, you can pay for treatment yourself. Self-pay rates apply to all three levels of care and are paid by cash, check or wire transfer. We do not offer payment plans or financing, so we tell you the full figure up front, in writing, before your first day.
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
Paying for treatment yourself? If you do not have insurance or choose not to use it, federal law gives you the right to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges, in writing. Ask us for one at any time and we will give it to you within three business days. If you schedule at least three business days ahead, you will get one without asking. Keep it: if your bill comes in at least $400 above the estimate, you may be able to dispute it, and you must start the dispute within 120 days of getting the bill. Medicaid, NJ FamilyCare and Medicare
We do not accept Medicaid, NJ FamilyCare or Medicare, including Medicare Advantage plans. If that is your coverage, you still deserve a straight answer about where to go: ReachNJ at 1-844-732-2465 is New Jersey’s free, 24-hour addiction helpline, and the SAMHSA National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357 can refer you to state-funded programs near you.
Why we are out of network. Staying out of network lets us keep groups small and treatment plans clinical rather than built around authorization rules. The trade-off is that your share of the cost depends on your plan’s out-of-network benefits, which is exactly why we verify them before you commit.
